TareTag impresses at Hannover Messe life with digital label

The third trade fair at which the sustainable start-up TareTag from Hanover presented its digital solution for avoiding packaging waste was also a premiere. From 17 to 21 April, numerous visitors from all over the world were able to fill peanuts, coffee beans or snack pretzels themselves and label them digitally. The interested stand visitors quickly found out how self-explanatory this is with TareTag.

Any container is provided with a digital label in the form of a QR code and linked to any product. Consumers can read out all information about the container and its contents via app: Ingredients and hazardous substances, brand, best-before date, number of packages saved, container tracking, batch number - in fact, everything that is normally written on a package, and much more.
Business customers, marketing experts, developers and sales professionals came to the blue stand with the beautifully designed customer terminal with great interest. Many students from various disciplines were also looking for inspiration, internships and new projects in the start-up area in Hall 17.
Very good discussions also took place with deposit pool and reusable suppliers. TareTag provides an interface between retail and gastronomy. Thus, there is great potential here for a future uniform system. "You can practically take your pasta home from your favourite restaurant in a reusable can and fill it with coffee the next day in the supermarket or put it in any deposit machine," says Michael Albert, founder of TareTag, about the company's vision. The Hannover Messe was a great opportunity not only to present, but also to go in search of future sponsors.
